How to Optimize Your Printing

Based on the properties of PLA-CF, it’s strongly recommended to consider the following tips to realize best performance:

1. Hardened Steel Nozzle

Carbon fiber filament may wear out the nozzle; use a hardened steel nozzle to avoid abrasion.

2. Seal with desiccant to prevent moisture and achieve ideal printing results.

3. Dry Your Filament

Drying Condition:
Blast Drying Oven: 55 °C, 8h
X1 Series Heatbed: 65 - 75 °C, 12h

4. Other Settings

Build Plate & Bed Temperature: Smooth PEI Plate (45-65 °C); Textured PEI Plate (55-65 °C)
Printing Speed: < 250 mm/s
Nozzle Temperature: 210 - 240 ℃
Part Cooling Fan: 50 - 100%
Annealing: 55 - 60 ℃, 6 - 12 hours
