Besides the printer, what should I buy to start using it?
The A1 mini/A1 mini Combo printer comes with a small filament sample, which is enough for testing the printer.
It is strongly recommended to purchase additional filament along with the printer order. For compatible filament options, please refer to the Recommended Accessories and Consumables section.
Can I use the AMS on the A1 mini?
No, the AMS is not compatible with the A1 mini. For multi-color printing on the A1 mini, you must use the AMS lite.
Can I use multiple AMS lite units with the A1 mini for up to 16 color prints?
The A1 mini can only support one AMS lite, allowing for a maximum of 4 colors in printing.
Is it OK to enclose the A1 mini?
We do not recommend enclosing the A1 mini, as doing so can result in high internal temperatures that may potentially damage the printer.
What is the recommended ambient temperature for the A1 mini?
The recommended temperature is 10-30 degrees Celsius. A lower temperature can cause print failures, while a higher temperature can cause hotend clogs.
Is a spool holder included if I did not purchase the combo with AMS lite?
Yes, it includes a spool holder that needs to be installed by the user upon unboxing. You can refer to the A1 mini Unboxing Guide.
Can the A1 mini print using only Bambu Studio/Handy without a microSD card?
No, the A1 mini requires a microSD card to initiate printing as it does not have built-in memory. The printer comes with a pre-installed 32 GB microSD card.
Why is an extra 4-pin connector available if the A1 mini supports a maximum of one AMS lite?
This interface is reserved for future product expansions and/or additional functionalities.
What are the electrical differences between the versions for different countries?
The primary regional difference in electrical printer specifications lies in the power cable.
Both the AC adapter and power supply are equipped with a wide-voltage range and feature automatic voltage adaptation.
